40% aren't "solidly" for him, IMO. Regardless, it is true that I have a higher intellectual and moral core than people who are solidly for Gore. Your attack on me personally confirms the old dem adage.

Gross imperfections in intellectual and moral fiber are not the monopoly of supporters of either party, and it's very silly to generalize like that. People can be solidly for a candidate for many reasons. They can be voting against the other candidate. They can have specific issues that make it impossible for them to vote for a certain candidate.

It is very Don Quixote of you to try to tilt at this particular windmill- but where such an irrational prejudice lies, is there any hope of dislodging it?
