Am I reading this correctly?

<< A new company emerging from stealth mode this week is among the first to build a service provider strategy almost entirely around free space optics technology.

Tellaire is allying itself with building owners in an attempt to light 9000 rooftops with optical lasers by the end of 2005. The company already is hammering out partnerships with Vornado Realty Trust, owner of 23 office buildings in New York, and Crescent Real Estate Equity, owner of 66 office buildings in markets such as Dallas, Houston and Denver.

Tellaire uses laser equipment from Optical Access and networking gear from Nortel Networks (see "Making a mesh"). The laser gear is being deployed in a ring and mesh architecture using carrier hotel and data center facilities as central hubs.

Does this mean we have a real, live, hot customer here who is going all out to install this technology in a big way? >>
