Yes, he is being paid from OASI trust fund. But of course it is not the money he paid years ago, that's long gone. He is being paid from the money we workers are paying now. SSI is different source. Do we agree on this? Don't worry about it. It's all smoke and mirrors to conceal the fact that actuarially, every one who social security in the past was heavily subsidized and now we've got to pay the piper. I always enjoyed teasing my mother about being on welfare. Her husband contributed about $600 in taxes over his working life, and she drew $300 a month for 21 years. We always thanked the Republicans for that give away.
