Gore's health plan will save the country a lot of money.
Every time you insure a poor child you are saving money over the longterm. It's also the right thing to do. Gore certainly does intend to pay down the debt. He's predicted it's paid off by 2010. Of course no one knows for sure but at least Gore uses non-partisan estimates. Bush uses rosy GOP projections to back his scheme of taxing less and spending more. Common sense will tell you that puts the government into deeper debt. Higher interest rates, inflation, stagflation. And if you think Bush has any interest in lower oil prices look at who the people are all around him. Every single influential Texas Bush insider is in the oil or chemical business.

You know, deficit spending was increased the most under Reagan to build a military against a fainting opponent.
