you know, clinton could have earned my respect if he had called for a ground war somewhere - anywhere - and led the assaulting armored infantry. instead as cic he behaved like an absolute moron. i didn't appreciate those 300-some cruise missiles thrown at iraq the day of his first impeachment vote (the one which was postponed by a day because of the sudden strike). i mean.. that's just pure evil and for anyone to come up here and pretend otherwise, well i don't know what to say to you. bush senior wasn't a very good commander in chief either... he played the political pragmatist's game in iraq. besides, hussein was and is probably bought off anyway. either way those clinton-iraq missile attacks were a criminal act, as was the bombing of yugoslavia. those were the same slavs who fought for us in ww2 in a clandestine battle against the nazis. what a way to treat our time-honored allies. i suppose the serbians aren't our allies any more. what is gore's yugo policy going to be? yes it bothers me that cheney and bush are not veterans. at least gore - out of he, clinton, bush, and cheney - has a shred of respect in that he was in 'nam and probably took fire. in any event we have a terrible choice this time. we need presidential candidates who don't want to be president, not buffoons who wish for the job their entire lives. what would george washington do if he were alive today? this is not america. this is the corporate socialist state... if it works for the majority it's not evil, correct? andy
