Hi Tim: Momma coon is healing fine. Her lost eye is healing pretty good. Her babies still need more meat on their bones I think before winter gets here. They just look too skinny to me. Still putting an extra helping of peanut butter on each cookie.

They were the first to eat tonight. In fact, they were waiting on me when I got home right at dark. Wife and boys were gone to a school function. I quickly fixed their cookies and peanut butter. I watched them for a long time. The two babies huddle by their mom so close. They stay by her side constantly. I suspect that whatever it was that attacked them when the other baby lost its life and hurt the momma must have really shaken the little ones.

When they finished, the two other babies came from the other family. They're on their own now. A little bigger.

Next came one of the big coons that is most tame. I was on my third tray of cookies and when I opened the door to walk out, that one almost came in the door. Really tame. I sat there and talked to it for 5 minutes or so while it ate those cookies. It was just a couple of feet away. Yeah, I talk to animals.....

Anyway, Tim, that is the latest on our injured momma coon. Thanks for asking. She's doing better.

Just asked my wife and she has not seen a change in the birds feeding. Squirrels are eating a lot more than usual. Getting ready for winter.

That's the critter report!

I'll be gone for a few days, maybe all week. Will try to get on with my laptop if have time. Keep that EXTR and the Naz green!
