Just comparing yhoo to ebay - & I think yhoo is the better value:

- yhoo has 613 mill shs o/s vs. 270 mill shs for ebay
- both have tremendous gross profits; & near-doubling of revenues
- both have huge cash hordes & no debt; but yahoo's $1.6 bill is about twice that of ebay's
- for 6/30/00 - ebay made $12 mill vs. $74 mill for yahoo
- ebay has a great auction site; but so does yahoo
- yahoo just reported a 400% increase in auctions; so yahoo will eventually fully rival or beat ebay
- both have global reach

- in summary, both companies will make it. But given the greater product lines, cash horde, & profits of yahoo; & how both are around the same price (in the $high 50's); I think the much better value over the next 3-5 years is yahoo
