Israel Says Clinton to Announce Deal to End Unrest JERUSALEM (Reuters) - President Clinton will announce on Tuesday that Israel and the Palestinians are committed to end a wave of violence, Israel's acting Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami said. Speaking to Israel's Army Radio at the Middle East summit in Egypt, he said: ``It was decided there would be an announcement by the U.S. president in the name of all the sides...(to) bring about an end to the violence.'' He said the announcement would provide for an apparatus for ensuring the end to violence and a springboard for ``continuing the discussions in this difficult and complicated diplomatic process.''
