Ten - Re: "Maybe Tom needs to open up his own eyes a little more before accusing the average PC-user of being "blind.""

His eyes may be open - but his MOUTH is in the way - blocking his view.

All right Trench. Why exactly should a person buy a 1 GHz P3 instead of a 1.2 GHz Athlon? You may use benchmarks, price, stability, number of cpu or motherboard recalls to construct your argument.

Hint: I've attached some benchmarks from Tom and Anand to help you with the benchmarks part.

Tenchusatsu,

Maybe Tom needs to open up his own eyes a little more before accusing the average PC-user of being "blind."

Intel still has notebook and server chips, but as far as desktop is concerned, Tom is right on the money. There is no reason to buy Intel, as Intel is outgunned in every segment of the Desktop market.

Tenchusatsu,

PS to my last post:

Do you remember the argument we had about Rambus vs. SDRAM, that anytime you buy Rambus you end up with a slower performing system, no matter what budget you have, the same is the case with Intel CPU.

Anytime your system includes Intel CPU, you are giving up performance. If you forgot what my argument was, I can repeat it.
