Everyone needs to remember that if you exercise an option you have to invest some money from your personal accounts because you are buying the stock, albeit at a discount. Taking profits immediately is therefore commonplace. This is why most options traders just close the position.

P.S. I tend to vote against issuance of options on my proxies (except for way out-of-the-money ones) because they dilute the stock and most employees, even corporate officers, will sell the shares received from exercised in-the-money ones right away. The reason I vote for well out-of-the-money options is that A) by then, I will probably have sold my stock or B) the dilution is worth the cash received or C) I'm so far ahead I don't care at all.

But it should be completely non-controversial, per q39's October expiration info.

NBC blows the lid off the SUV safety lies:

It's playing on NBC as I type this:

msnbc.com

Read the WHOLE article. They rollover. A lot. Put more people in them, and it gets worse. Take them out in inclement weather, and it gets even worse. Crash them into something and all that mass WORKS AGAINST THE PASSENGERS. It's physics guys. I laugh every time I hear someone try to explain how SUV's are safer than cars. And the earth is flat. Because they both look that way. Guzzle, pollute, unsafe. What are people thinking? My favorite part is how the risk is lowest when EMPTY, totally ruining the only real feature that gets used in everyday use. Do yourself a huge favor. Need a lot of passenger and/or cargo space? Want to sit a little higher? Buy a minivan. A reasonable compromise. You don't see Volvo building an SUV do you...

DCX hybrid SUV:

The next mess is gearing up:

msnbc.com

dailynews.yahoo.com

Hang up and drive. Because if you crash into somebody while on the phone, you're probably going to be sued silly. And if somebody gets killed, it won't be called an accident. It will be called manslaughter. And when the jail time ends, your resume now sports a very ugly felony.

OE's focus on China is going to pay off HUGE:

biz.yahoo.com

``China is clearly going to be the biggest auto market in the world''

``China is absolutely the place to be''

More links on the weekend.
