Ann Richards was hardly a "sacrificial lamb". She was the incumbent, and a popular governor in her own right; she attacked Dubya viciously for his inexperience and failed business ventures-- and it didn't work.
You are beginning to sound obsessed and irrational. Maybe a day off would be a healthy thing to do...? (Probably for all of us)
