Marconi Commerce Systems Helps Consumers Save Time, Money at Gas Stations Gas Pumps Display Interactive Screens With Full Site up and Running During NACS Conference in New Orleans NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers can save money and time while filling up their cars at gas stations, thanks to Marconi Commerce Systems. Marconi is the first company to carry the interactive merchandising content broadcast by Ten Square(TM) on gas pumps. The screens are easily interactive, offering consumers the opportunity to simply push a button to choose a variety of money saving coupons without spending more time at the pump. A site will be up and running during the National Association of Convenience Store (NACS) conference in New Orleans, held October 21-24. Retif Oil & Fuel, located at 3901 Airline Highway, will feature pumps carrying Ten Square's content. "This is unlike anything consumers have seen before," said Amy Wilson, product manager for Marconi Commerce Systems. "We're bringing the best of both worlds -- saving time and money -- to consumers at the gas pumps." The system, which is broadcast via the Internet, offers coupons from national and local retailers. It will track coupon usage so offers can be tailored to specific sites. "Consumers can select offers from retailers around the country and around the block," added Wilson. "The system will provide offers that consumers want where they live, work and shop. If pizzas are popular in a neighborhood, for example, then more pizza coupons will show on the screens." Marconi is the first company to roll out the technology on gas pumps. The screens debuted in Atlanta and will appear on Marconi pumps across the U.S., including Miami, Dallas and southern California in the coming months. The pumps will showcase Ten Square's coupon application, delivering redeemable offers from local New Orleans businesses and restaurants including the Hard Rock Cafe, The Riverboat Cajun Queen and the Audubon Zoo. Marconi Commerce Systems will offer free van rides for NACS participants to Retif Oil & Fuel. But the site can be reached by taking I-10 West and taking the Causeway South exit. Take a right at Airline Highway and the station is two to three miles on the right.
