Hi Tony-

You have to read the whole series of exchanges between Joe and me to make sense of my post. Maybe you have. I was using "performance" the way Joe did, without qualification.
That ambiguity, which you have picked up on, was the reason I responded to him at all.

as in that "strongly biased" report by Scovel it was pointed out that intel used performance/MHz in past to pull away from competition. Hence that would be both.
Recall that time (I know it was a while) when intel was 3-4 speed grades of amd and that was considered as something positive by intel investors. Are you saying now that performance lag is more beneficial for intel now?
