Could it possibly be that somebody is suffering from sarcasm impairment here, Elmer? Or did your dual celeries garble the post due to running out of spec? Yields are ramp, fine is great, right, Elmer?

Um, dude ... Rob's post there was obviously very sarcastic, specifically written as an attack on those who act like "Chicken little" in this market.

In an amusing bit of irony, your post is ignorant in regards the post to which you replied (this isn't meant as an attack, I just thought it funny, kinda).

You are right - semiconductor design and manufacturing is a much, much more capital intensive and risky proposition than making potato chips. The big difference is that investors tend to either love or hate semiconductor sector stocks but they seldom give a darn one way or the other about companies that make tasty snack chips. Snack chips are a good inflation hedge: when the tech industry is riding high, it is the fuel of all the techies who are glued to their computer screens. When the tech industries are out of favor, a bag of chips is often used to get anal and go into a carbohydrate drugged daze. Sell semis, buy Freetos.

The world's hunger for semiconductors is growing at a much faster rate than potato chips

True, but it must not be growing as fast as the world's hunger for donuts considering KREM's ratios. I guess we live in a world of Homer Simpsons. <g> (or maybe considering the way more portfolio has been doing lately :-(
