john, I will tell you one more time, these .com's are finished. The technology companies that will make money from the internet are the infrastructure plays. ORCL, SUNW, EMC, CSCO, NT, JDSU, SNDK, IBM, to name a few. These companies will be selling product to corporate American to get them "connected".

Companies such as T, Q, HD, PG, CLX, F, G.M., Boeing, etc., etc., will need internet infrastructure technology. .com's cannot compete with Barnes & Noble. The .coms I see surviving and dominating their space are companies like Ebay, AOL, YHOO, to mention a few. But even these companies valuations are suspect but they will survive.
