That isn't why EBITDA got created. Who cares what loonie reasons are used to justify it now. -g-

It was created back in the 80's during the LOB craze to try and get at the free cash flow available to service the junk bonds that would be issued to buy the target company. Let's see if you can figure out an implicit assumption that using EBITDA meant?
