By December, things should be obvious --- I dunno. I thought things were pretty obvious last December. Come to think of it, one could extrapolate all of this out from the December before that (1998). Anyway, you want obvious, you should run a MSFT SUNW comparitive from the December before THAT (1997). I was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time, the Dec before that (1996) with an 'inkling' and due dilligence that had me swap into SUNW in a big way then and for the next 6 months in 1997. --- Anyway, what does 'late for IBM's party' mean? Servers? Don't forget, this TCP/IP networking stuff snuck up on IBM from way out in Palo Alto California. There wasn't a party until someone lit up a router and started passing the packets. -JCJ
