By December, things should be obvious --- I dunno. I thought things were pretty obvious *last December. Come to think of it, one could extrapolate all of this out from the December before *that (1998). Anyway, you want obvious, you should run a MSFT SUNW comparitive from the December before THAT (1997). *I was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time, the Dec before *that (1996) with an 'inkling' and due dilligence that had me swap into SUNW in a big way then and for the next 6 months in 1997. --- Anyway, what does 'late for IBM's party' mean? Servers? Don't forget, this TCP/IP networking stuff snuck up on IBM from way out in Palo Alto California. There wasn't a party until someone lit up a router and started passing the packets. -JCJ
