Until we pay off the debt we should not be expecting tax breaks. Reagan proved he can stir the economy with tax breaks but cannot pay off the debt. In fact it got worse

It got worse because spending increased massively during those years. Revenue increased a lot but it could not keep up with all the new spending.

He tries to cut by axing social services, environmental protection and selling off public lands cheap.

Social service budgets at the end of Reagan's 8 years were a lot higher then they where at the begining. No great amount of public land was sold, nore was there any signifigant cuts in environmental regulation. There was more restirctions on companies and indiviuals when Bush took office then there was when Carter left. The EPA budget was also bigger at the end of the 8 years then it was at the begining.

AS... again... you'll never pay off the national debt simply because any SS trust fund surpluses are immediately loaned to the government (which immediately spends it) and a T-Bill IOU thrown in the drawer for future payment by our posterity.

That's called NATIONAL DEBT...
