Iran's Defense Minister says muslim states must pay their shares
to help intifadha
Tehran, Oct 17, IRNA -- Iran's Defense Minister Rear Admiral Ali
Shamkhani, addressing his ministry's ranking staffers here Tuesday,
said that Muslim states should take advantage of their oil resources
and also of their political, economic, diplomatic, and public
information tools "to respond to the needs of the intifadhah of
Palestinian Muslims" in a step by step campaign.
He referred to the initiative of the Organization of the Islamic
Conference (OIC) for holding an emergency summit aiming to study the
atrocities of the Zionist regime against the oppressed and muslim
people of Palestine and said with resort to available means such as
production and sales of oil, adjusting economic and political relation
with the world countries and considering the fact of their support
for the Intifadha and the Palestinians, it could be considered as
practical methods.
He described the Sharm al-Shaikh summit as a mirage.
Underlining the need to benefit from the created opportunity to
meet the legal rights of the Palestinian, he said ''real duty of the
revolutionary forces should be defined as precise understanding of the
existing situation and non-stop efforts to materialize the
potentialities in a bid to attain success and victory''.
