"There was no witch hunt. Kenneth Starr did nothing wrong and has been vindicated on virtually everything"

Ken Starr will go down in history as a fool, a charleton, a flake, a mentally disturbed parasite, a nincompoop.

And those are the NICE things history will have to say about him.

Starr was an embarrassing failure and made us look like fools to the rest of the world. Where was the beef? The rest of the world asked. This was no Watergate. It was based on a land deal which went sour a decade ago. It had nothing to do with Clinton's responsibilities as President. This it was a witch-hunt forced on the Justice Department by the Clinton-haters in congress. It failed. In the end it was all they could do to catch him getting a BJ. His legacy has paid the price. He is still the most popular president of our times which goes to show how much most people care. Clinton made a mistake or two but he was one of at least four presidents rumored to have mistresses. The press never used to dig into that stuff but now they do. Eisenhower, Bush Sr. Roosevelt and of course Kennedy. Arguably they were all successful presidents, especially Roosevelt and Kennedy. Reagan was too old for an affair. Carter and Ford too straight. Jefferson and Washington were rumored to have mistresses. And that was never supposed to be the point of the Starr investigation in the first place. It went from a grey-zone land deal investigation which happened a long tiem ago to turning up every rock in Clinton's life looking for anything to hang him with. They finally found it in Monica. Everyone always knew Clinton was a playboy. Just as everyone knows Bush was a boozer and a cocaine user. If Bush got into office would you want prosecutors looking into his affairs 10-15 years ago. Who knows what they night find? And by the way, Gore is not guilty of any of this kind of stuff. That's why I call him a boy scout. And that's one reason Clinton picked him.
