Good evening Arthur, I think you said it best when you stated, "Ames is now a 2-year investment." The market is seriously re-appraising earnings multiples in lieu of hard or soft landing of U.S. and/or world economies. As Lucca Brazzi in "The Godfather " so aptly stated - "It's time to hit the mattresses" - in terms of holding periods. The "Go-Go" days of the dot coms probably won't be seen again for many years IMO. As always there is a price to pay for past excesses, and as we know that time is now. Ames has to establish a much longer term trading base than in the past to recover from its "acquisition indigestion." An 18 to 24 month investment time horizon appears to be the proper prescription for what currently ails us. I am willing to wait. The rules of the game have changed.
