GV,

In all due respect - and you deserve it.

And if you rebuke bambs for making a statement without any quantitative backup, the least you could do is provide some of your own to support
your opinion that his statements are asinine.

I find this a hard pill to swallow and have seen this same sentiment posted in the past many times. It assumes that a poster can post anything he/she likes without any factual basis. From there (as the sentiment goes) it becomes the responsibility of those with a differing opinion to post facts which debase the original post. I disagree with this.

I think it's appropriate for respondent to request facts from the originator which support the claim. If the original poster can't support their position then that poster should recant or at a minimum be discredited. In this case the respondent is potentially being discredited because they don't care to respond to a baseless/ridiculous post.

Does this make any sense?

How about low inflation,,cooling off of oil prices, low unemployment, stable interest rates ,a Republican in the White House for starters.

Also, the tradition season (Nov-March) where stock prices tend to make the largest gains.

Below is what Webster has to say on the subject of opinions.I asked for no offer of proof in my rebuke and nor do I expect to give same. You seem to think otherwise and therefore ,in my opinion, hold me or other similar respondents to a higher or ,even worse,a double standard.I hope this post will put the matter to rest.

Hey GV, can you give us any support to your statement that Gary should give support to his statement about Ed's statement about chic or Bambs unsupported statement being asinine? I need facts dammit.
