I guess anything could happen. Carnahan was a nice man - I didn't like what he did with taxes, but he was respected here.

The document said the continued ameliorations of Taiwan's military and close defense ties with the U.S. make it necessary for them to boost their military capabilities. China considers Taiwan a renegade province.
