With Thursday's rise of 2 1/4 or 6.7%, I guess the market might be anticipating good earnings. At 35 11/16, it is the second highest close of all time. I expect that M.L. will deny any plans to sell the company - which could put the idea that LAB has been trading on takeover speculation, to the test. However, M.L. has denied such plans in the past, without apparently discouraging the rumors, so who knows. Morgan
