Why doesn't Goldman Sachs know when MSFT is scheduled to report??

RESEARCH ALERT-Goldman says Microsoft may rally
(Reuters, 10/17/2000 09:22)
"Sherlund said Microsoft may bounce back from the new 52-week low of $49-9/16, touched on Monday, particularly if there is no bad news in its earnings report, expected after the stock market closes today, or in a subsequent conference call."

Are these guys brain dead? Do they have a phone? Are they able to look up the MSFT IR phone number? Do they speak english? Why in the world would Goldman Sachs not know that MSFT reports tomorrow on the 18th and not today on the 17th? And we are supposed to listen to these guys and take their advice?

Thanks MamaB. Wouldn't you know it, was travelling, and the TV Guide at the hotel had Groundskeeper Willie on the cover.
