Greg - Re: "said Intel needs all the fabs they are building, not backing off at all. .13 micron development will precede 300 mm development."

This is SUPER !!!.

Imagine this - Intel has 6 wafer fabs in production at 0.18 micron today - and within two years, they will have an ADDITIONAL 4 wafer fabs at 0.13 micron Copper (D1C, Fab 22, Fab 11x, Fab ?? in Ireland), possibly one of them on 300 MM wafers !

Not to mention a new Fab 23 in Colorado (0.18 micron Flash) and Fab 17 (?) in Hudson, Mass - also 0.18 micron.

This will DOUBLE the number of wafer starts in just two years.

Oh Oh !!!

AMD only has Dregsden and MegaFLop 25 !
