zeev,

in every down cycle, amat would come down to its 52 wk low. and noodle there. until amat does that, the sector has not bottomed. but once it bottoms, it could be a buy/hold sector again if and when cycle uptick again.

I thought that my recent "forcast" of $13 to $14 was "fair", but the way we broke through the $22 area may imply that my recent forecast was, as often they are, optimistic. Tighten your seat belt.

Wow. The last time we were in such low regions, CYMI was losing money. It's remarkable to be revisiting when it's doing well. A forward PE below 10 has me shaking my head.

Hey Zeev
Keeping your powder dry or nibbling some of these beaten down semi-equips? e.g. - AMAT, CYMI, ASYT, VSEA, PRIA, etc.. I have seen them take this sort of pounding twice before, but previously with a more obvious reversal of their business, which I still do not see at this time. This one seems more "psycho driven."
