Well, no surprise, you didn't address the point of my post. You were spinning and got caught. Now I know both sides do it but when a liberal gets caught doing it they always seem to say "ya but" and come off with some excuse.

I can support people that agree to disagree and will work toward common ground. I have a hard time dealing with anyone that just goes from one excuse to the next using scare tactics to justify their beliefs.

This is why I can't support Gore. I could have supported either major canidate that did not get nominated. I think they both said what they really believed.

The pipeline they want to build would go right across the migration course of caribou which have been going that way for a many thousands of years.

And the one that ALREADY exists has had NO IMPACT on wildlife.

In fact, the very presence of man has provided the Porcupine Caribou a safer haven in which to calve their young. In fact, it is doubtful that many of these caribou would have been able to survive a series of harsh winters were it not for the intervention of the private oil drillers.

But making the oil drillers responsible for the preservation of that herd is the best guarantee that they will survive.

And that's a mighty fine quid pro quo from my perspective...

Especially since we're talking upwards of a potential 10 BILLION BARRELS OF OIL UP THERE.

In fact, I might have to adopt 20 kids and move up to Alaska just to partake of those PFD payments that would likely double in value as a result.
