looking forward to tomorrow, once again, there is no good reason for stocks to go up, ibm, cmtn, rnwk etc are tanking, intc is probably neutral, cpi will probably be same numbers as ppi, and there will be a lot of reasons for the market to sell off further-- just like last friday?
on a ge note-- appliances are not even in their top twenty businesses any more, they will probably sell off their appliance division after jack welch retires, soft appliance sales means zilch to ge's bottom line, ge is the dow, if you like the dow, buy ge, they are the best run company in the world!!

I don't know if many here follow the Asian markets, but the NIKKEI 225 is making a new 52w low, under the key 15000 mark, a near 3% loss, and it is early in the day. Same with the Taiwan & Korean markets.
This will not be good for US stocks, as Asia is heading toward a deflationary spiral.
In simple terms, they won't be buying many hi-tech US exports, or low tech, like lumber, for that matter. And many US multi-national banks may have loans in that region that will be sucking air soon.
