Albert,

re: "but if you are really interested then where is those high margins would come from, for example"

Selling product that is inexpensive to make at high prices?

Albert, >but if you are really interested then where is those high margins would come from, for example

Find something else to worry about. Margins are one thing I haven't seen Intel fail on yet. Bryant says there are many ways to save money. Part of the reason they beat (revised) earnings by 3¢ was "discretionary spending" was watched in Q3. Just a small example. Worry about AMD getting something to sell other than more Megahertz.

Albert,

How 'bout product mix and process efficiency gains.

Intel's rev and earnings guidance hasn't always been the greatest, but the GM guidance has historically been very accurate. BTW, this isn't the first time the analysts have challenged INTC's margin guidance. The fact is that in the face of repeated cries for downward pressure on margins by the "experts" for years, margins remain at the high end of their historic range. Remember how "cheap" PC's and competition from AMD were suppose to destroy margins....apparently the analysts are still asking "how can they do that"<GG>.

Albert,
re:margins

I think Intel's camera will be a huge success.

Too bad AMD doesn't have one.
