Nikkei is down 3% - wouldn't surprise me to see the DOW drop a similar percentage. Tell you what though, IBM below $100 is a good price to be picking some up if you can. 11 months from now you'll be happy. Just don't wait 12 months until next October.

MS report will be the final blow. Maybe Compaq's report next week begins the rally.

Captain, IBM almost crashed the market this morning! Incredible action, with Maria of CNBC screaming bloody murder all over the place while some (Japanese folks I think) stared at her and positioned themselves for the camera, even standing directly in front of her apparently thinking they wanted to be part of market history or something..... She then said something like: "Excuse me please, we are live here you now!" (Yes Maria but the market is dead, dead, dead! Happy Halloween!!) In any case, CPQ went back to a "strong hands hold" signal for me last night, if there are any strong hands left these days that is..... Frightened Yogi
