<What did Nietzsche mean by "God is dead?">

IMO, God pined away, according to Nietzsche, from looking at man's actions in the world. "Yet they have done it themselves."

It's only an interpretation or opinion so need for anyone to get ballistic.

I wrote an essay 20 years ago where I traced the historical development of the Death of God from Descarte, Spinoza, Leibnitz, Kant, Fichte, Schelling, Hegel, Schopenauer to Nietzsche.

Schopenauer already had God struggling for his survival. Nietzsche just put the final nail in the coffin. The Later Heidegger tried to bring God back but to no avail.

<<God is Dead>>

I didn't say He is dead, I simply said The question doesn't matter"!
