Bush is a total uncompassionate Governor. It's surprising what he's been able to get away with using his macho posturing. But that's Texas which is to the right of the American mainstream and even more rightwing under Bush.

Actually some data supports that the right to carry concealed weapons will lower the incidence of certain types of violent crime.
