I am trying to get etrade's free DSL deal. Turns out that where I live, dsl isn't available but covd offers idsl (isdn based?). Not as fast but at least it is a step in the right direction. Also, it gives me a firsthand experience with some of the players. I did put out a low ball bid for some COVD this afternoon. Thought maybe I could get some at $7.5 if there was a panic. Afterall, covad had said there installations were on target a few weeks ago and it was near support. Lucky to not get the fill!
