Bobby ....

Sorry .... I just noticed your "no philosophy" qualification. :)

I rambled .... not philosophy, just my perennial dilemma.

Joseph :)

joseph, there are no crystal ballz, t/a's try to base future events on past history and use indicators to give probabilities,

>>who is this "we" that defines things ...>>>>

that is the investing public who sezs their bullish or bearish and shows up in put/calls and rydex #

contrary opinion is no holy grail, just like any other indicator, because the market is a changing breathing organism and levels that worked during one kind of market don't work as the trend changes.

that is all up to interpretation and a certain amount of luck.

don wollanchuk has been a perma-bull and in the top timer list and at the top a lot during the last several years, however if we would go into a 10 year bear market u might find somebody like lucretious at the top of jim schmiddt's list.

calling the market is a combo of luck and indicators.

it's really just a horse race we are all trying to handicap.
