Gore worked for the Nashville Tennessean. Bush got his dady's friends to invest 371 million in him drilling dry holes and lost it all. Hey it could happen to the best of us but don't give the impression Bush was some roughneck sweating it out under the sun. He was sipping mint juleps back to the white-only country club in Midland while his daddy's money contacts paid for the work to be done. Worse still, just before his gig went under he bailed out early. Which is called insider trading anywhere else in the universe. Never even filed with the SEC until the next year. But since Dad was president they never went after him. Then he was approached by more daddy's friends to be given (for free I believe) a piece of the Texas Rangers. he had no clear job and sat in the satands cheering mostly. But ended up with 15 million for not doing any of the work. This is the story of GW's life. daddy's friends make him offers and he accepts. "I'm all name" he stated honestly at age 40. But he yearned for real achievement. He wanted to be baseball commissioner, but when turned down as too inexperienced he took up the offer to run for government which a HUGE amount of money poured into his campaign from the beginning. "The mouth" they used to call him in school. His real talent is his personality, his smoozability. Very slick, very smooth. But not presidential material in these serious times.
