Bush seemed half asleep and groping for words. I got a very uneasy feeling from his performance. He seemed to be doped up on something.

Not crazy about either one of these guys. I guess we'll survive either one, but without much to crow about.

Notice each of them is babbling on about how they are going to spend the surplus. That is like you and me debating how we are going to spend the Powerball Jackpot. It ain't here yet guys. Besides Congress has probably spent it already.

How about the $1.7 trillion or so in the present budget. Let's hear some thoughts about that monster. No, they are each too busy buying votes with funny money.

Might just write in McCain ...

o/t Cosmo... I agree on the "Spoiled Yuppie Frat Boy" wave...

GW would NOT be on my short list to be quite honest... but, Gore is more transparent that Saran Wrap.... a complete fake, a true new-age political chameleon; able to do an instantaneous 180 on any issues. He doesn't know who he is, let alone what he is, or stands for. He doesn't even know how he wants to dress, to talk, to stand, to pose... a complete fake.

The VP debate showed maturity & a calm confidence; Chaney & Lieberman both at least knew who they were; where they've been & what they stand for & where they want to go - obvious to all that a little "seasoning" matters.

When you see people like Bill Bennett address issue's with passion & conviction that runs to their soul; it's kind of like sending the cub scouts out to fight the Ruskies - with GW & Gore running...

Bennett & Chaney ? - now that would be interesting....

Bennett & Powell as well...

Not enthusiasitc about any of the candidates... I lean Republican out of reality; want to be a true independant - but I am generally apathetic & cynical toward the entire process; as it's both obviously corrupt & broken...
