RR:

Amen to your comment.

I don't know how many times over the last two years, that brokers, reporters, friends, etc., have said to me, "Look, you dumb jerk, why do you continue to fight the trend? All this bearish stuff you put into print is just useless gibberish,..... the market is heading higher and you are being laughed at".

As most on this thread well understand, that kind of heat sure isn't fun.

Even worse has been the threats of suits, even when the stuff one uses is right out of a company's 10Q. In the end, that was one of the strong motivators that caused me to shut down my newsletter. Nothing focuses one's attention like having the CEO/CFO of a big company telling you in no uncertain terms that he is going to "sue your a** off" (they know that the costs of defending can easily break a guy's back).

While I try to avoid it, it's difficult not to let a tiny grin sneak onto one's face as these bloated tulips get trampled.

Best, Earlie

RRman, the dismal performance of the analysts suggests that their job has become an extension of the investment banking sales and marketing dept. and to set up the other side of the trade for their in house trading. IMO There is no way all the analysts were that stupid. The Queen Bingo caller doesn't look so excited today. mike
