You are correct Jean. I don't know where these people are getting the idea that Intel's report was ok or that there is "relief among analysts".

On page C1 of today's New York Times, the headline reads "Intel Has a Passing Report Card but Not Without an Asterisk". The first paragraph reads:

"After warning investors last month that its revenue would not meet earlier expectations, the Intel Corporation reported third-quarter earnings today that beat analysts' lowered forecasts. But the company gave wary investors other reasons for concern, reporting stagnant chip sales and projecting a relatively soft holiday season."

In this market environment, this is not the makings of a rally: beat "lowered forecasts" and then say things ain't going so great.

Since the market does what one least expects we could always get a bounce today, but not likely. I think SUNW closes today below $105, and possibly below $100, before reporting good earnings.Mr. Wilson's $109 day trade may pay off, but not today.

Jean, I am not sure about Intel anymore--it could close flat to down but I do think SUNW will move higher by the end of the day. Just a guess of course.
