Intel (INTC) 36 9/16 +3/8: -- Update -- Says that typical Q4 European growth rate is 20-25%, but at this time, is uncertain about hitting that mark given the weakness seen in all channels in last three weeks of Q3... Again, contributes this uncertainty to its conservative sales guidance for Q4... Separately, INTC acknowledged that based on trends in 1H00, and in talking to its customers, it had initially forecasted a 20-25% growth rate in Europe for Q3; instead Q3 turned out to be a "normal" qtr. for Europe which caused the Q3 sales disappointment
Intel (INTC) 36 1/2 +5/16: -- Update -- When asked about Christmas PC sales outlook, said it is seeing "normal" kinds of growth patterns in all geographies; however, when pressed on this by JP Morgan analyst, company acknowledged that it is being conservative with its guidance as it is uncertain still if problems affecting Europe won't spread to other geographies...
