I thought INTC earnings might reverse the market later today.

Even though I love AMAT, I think INTC is toast. According to Herb Greenberg at TheStreet.com, INTC forecast flat microprocessor growth for Q4 over Q3 (this in a usually strong Q (my thought) and 38% of their Q4 earnings will come from investments (assuming the market holds up)).

INTC doesn't deserve much more than a 20 multiple on core earnings, especially in this market. Don't look for it to turn around anytime soon. IMHO, it will be in the low 20s in a year.

The other half of Wintel is doing OK also, and not getting rewarded, either.
