I don't think Bush won. I'm no demolib. I call them as I see them. On substance, I think Gore stated his positions better, not much, but better. On style, I think Bush was better, much better. My overall impression was that Bush stayed close, made no major blunders and defended Gore's attacks (especially on tax policy) fairly well. I especially liked his repeated references to Big Spending Al's plans to grow the federal bureaucracy. Personally, I would much rahter have seen him stick it to Gore on the character and integrity issues but its his campaign and he seems to be doing just fine. JLA
