"CBOE Market Summary for 10/17/2000
Put/Call Ratio: .89"

Strong but not of the ilk of Charles Atlas or even Babe the Blue Ox.

You are absolutely 100% incorrect.

Re: I don't think what is normally refered to as the put/call ratio is the ratio of volumes in a single day. Rather it is the ratio of total outstanding options.

This statement is false. The put/call ratio is strictly the ratio of trading volume for puts versus calls for a specific day. The figure can be an intraday tally or an end of day total.

Why do you post things as if they were fact when in fact you have no clue as to what the truth really is?
