It's ok for the person carrying a fetus to choose to abort or not to abort- as her conscience and the laws of her country dictate. Selectively aborting female fetuses doesn't bother me, it's a choice for the women carrying the fetuses to make- by aborting females they will actually make existing female children more valuable to society- as is already happening in some areas of China.

Some countries choose to make up the conscience for women on this matter. I'm glad our country doesn't.

Hitler was setting the conscience for the nation. He made the standards for what was "defective". Letting each woman decide for herself is not comparable to Nazi Germany- no matter how good that rhetoric feels to you.

Yes.

Edit: But unadvisable for the reasons I said. Better if they could find a selective birth control. If they insist on doing this, the sooner after conception the better. Should I hope that they wait until full term and let it die through neglect? Let's say they just never take girl babies to the doctor because of limited family resources. Is that better?

My horror is dependent upon the neural development of the creature in question.
