The DD I have on this stock is obsolete. (slim to none).

When the stock dropped so dramatically(sp?), I took the advice of Jay Chen and, theoretically, wrote it down to ZERO. Almost immediately our losses exceded $27K of an original investment of $30K - so I mentally wrote it off, figuring any upside would be found money!

IMO this looks like premeditated stock manipulation by Softbank. Announce buyback, PPS goes up, dump 87million shares on stock rise visa vis announcement. I believe there is no protection for stock holders from this type of action; Hong Kong SEC laws not being like US where stockholder law suits are prevalent.

My lack of knowledge (and laziness in running down DD on a remaining $1500 (hopefully) market value on SBISF) is the reason I posted questions to Jay Chen and Yamakita.

Jay no longer owns SBISF and long ago told me to sell (expect a lecture?? Nah, Jay's too nice). However, Jay lives in Hong Kong and thought he might have some knowledge of what has gone on - not likely, but a try.

Yamakita, who started this board, invested heavily in SBISF if his/her posts are correct. I do not know if that is still the case, but also just another source that might have better information.

Hope this makes sense; written in hurry & not doing preview- right now watching other stocks that are of more interest since the MV has not dropped so dramatically.

Will post to you any info I may discover.

Merry

earlyplayer,

Just wanted you to see Yamakita's response - dumbfounded. He/She might have some idea where to find additional info. Hopefully, Yamakita eventually may add something to this SCAM. I had wondered why Softbank was investing in their other Asian Investment company and not SBISF - now I know. I have a contact in Japan who is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal. I am going to email him and perhaps he might do an article on it?? Just an idea. If SFTBF is going to play this kind of game, they deserve to have it written about. JMHO

Jay Chen has not yet replied.
