Ken... Nobody really knows the circumstances of Phil Thomas exit..All I can surmise is that a couple of months tenure isnt enough to make a difference. What may be of interest, is the ongoing plans for the "Communications Division" which wasn't mentioned. There was no mention of IPRP either.. Last we knew is it was too slow to be useful. It might be that the device may need a newer process to work well. Or a redesign or both. Since they are putting a great deal of emphasis on the investment side, it seems to me that we will need better information on that side of things. This is also about technology and products, directly and indirectly. Watch for the possibility of ALSC picking up one of these ventures themselves. if that should happen, it seems to me it constitutes an expansion of the R&D budget in a manner of speaking. pete
