I'm sure the glass house you're living in improves your vision, Elmer, allowing you to discern these "major differences". You can probably get Paul Excel to back you up on the "major differences" too. Why do you think Intel is so afraid to let anybody see real P4 benchmarks? What are they hiding?

Elmer asked: "Why do you think AMD is so afraid to let anyone see their SMP MBs, even behind locked doors? What
would you think if Intel did this? Would you think there is a serious problem? Would you wonder if there were really 2 processors in there? What are they hiding?"

Might be nothing more then AMD wanting to hold their cards very close to their vest and keep everything under wraps til they release the CPU. The Register has said much of AMD becoming as secretive and as paranoid as Intel was over future plans.. you may be trying to make a mountain out of a molehill over their secrecy.
