Get rid of the estate tax, period. Open markets to American farmers. Encourage conservation. Encourage the movement of steps in processing to the farm. Fund research in alternative uses of agricultural products........

The reason Gore is better at answering questions is because he can make up anything he wants. Gore says just what he thinks people want to hear, just as Clinton did. Bush tells the truth. He can't please everyone on everything as Gore tries to do. Gore learned from the master. Tell em what they want to hear and then do what you want to do. alan w

Bush obviously doesn't know much about farming. His statement was to open up markets. 'We feed the world". That's so obvious. Nobody is using grain embargos anymore anyway. He was reaching for a response and couldn't find one. He knows only two subjects, politics and oil. With a minor in education maybe. But his education record in Texas is not good. Pay for teachers is 50th in the nation. Drop-out rates climbing recently. Drug use by teens up. Nothing to brag about there.
