Amer Indus will clamor for intervention to lower the $$.

And probably have been doing so behind closed doors for some time now. The steels, papers and our tubular stocks are just the tip of the iceberg. Their argument will be the familiar song that the excessively high level of the buck is hurting US competitiveness around the world.

Reminds me of the arguments before the Plaza Accords in 1985. May be less formal this time, but the next coordinated CB intervention to push down the dollar may be only days away. And it doesn't take rocket science analysis to know it won't be the last either<G>.

Precious metal stocks will show more strength with each such intervention until there's a powerful rally in that sector.
