Claims it was a big mistake tho.. something about not posting there ever again because of principle against censorship. (Reality be told.. the thread hasnt come anywhere close to being censored)

I suppose you'll say you at least read that thread

Scott,

Initially I didn't post there because of the censorship issue but now its because the mod thread doesn't have what you Canadians call the...joie de vivre. <g>

But, yes, I do keep abreast of mod thread issues of the moment.

Scott, I obviously can be combative enough when things get personal, but nothing sets me off more than people like sanctimonious Elmer bleating about "free speech" after he's bragged about getting people kicked off SI. Sadly, I have extensive experience with the type in other contexts. People play extremely ridiculous games sometimes.

Personally, I think the "mod" part of the mod thread is sort of a joke, with Paul Excel camped out there, and random other Intel types bleating free speech on his behalf. I do get occasional PMs from an apparent proxy moderator there, which I also consider humorous. It does tend to stay more on topic there, though.

Cheers, Dan.
